C0unterHack is... back?
A group called "C0unt" or "C0unterHack" is developing a bot (automated program) designed to protect the game from cheaters.
Members of the Xero team, particularly Buffele , the creator of xero.gg , and lead developer Vivyy , were involved in crash bot activities in the past.
Their actions contributed to the shutdown of the official S4 League server operated by Aeria Games.
Now that S4 League is making a comeback in 2025, C0unt is taking decisive action to prevent future crashes.
Additionally, we are investigating and enforcing sanctions against staff members and other participants associated with said activity.

We consider ourselves "ethical hackers". C0unterHack was founded in 2011 by a group of players frustrated with rampant cheating in online games.
Our mission involves various tasks, but our primary goal is to detect and eliminate cheating and game-breaking exploits.
With the revival of S4 League in 2025, we are launching our most ambitious project yet to ensure an consistent and enjoyable gaming experience.
Does this mean S4 League will be hacker-free?
Not entirely. Preventing crashes and other cheats is a complex and ongoing challenge. However, we are committed to continually detecting, countering, and fixing known exploits.
